Kraft says Super Bowl loss was tough to take
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Robert Kraft says it took him more than a month to get over his team's Super Bowl loss to the Giants.
After going 18-0 in the regular season and playoffs, the Patriots lost to the New York Giants in the final game of the season.
But Kraft says he took consolation that he was close to two Giants co-owners, Wellington Mara and Robert Tisch, both of whom died during the 2005 season.
He says he got through the loss to New York by thinking that both Mara and Tisch (quote) "were both present."
