Celtics waive Akingbala, Pittsnogle
BOSTON -- The Boston Celtics on Friday waived forwards Akin Akingbala and Kevin Pittsnogle, bringing their roster to 16 players.
Akingbala, signed as an undrafted free agent Sept. 11, averaged 1.5 points and 2.5 minutes in each of two preseason games in which he played.
Pittsnogle, who was signed as an undrafted free agent July 26, played in three preseason games and averaged one point and 3.7 minutes per game.
