Small earthquake shakes Northern California

TRES PINOS, Calif. -- A small earthquake has rattled Northern California.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the light temblor had a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 and was centered in Tres Pinos -- about 50 miles south of San Jose.

There were no reports of damage. Police in the nearby city of Hollister said they barely felt it.
