CANTON, Mass. -- Flames tore through several apartments Saturday, forcing residents out into the bitter cold.
The fire started in the rear of a three-story apartment building.
Fire officials arrived to find flames spreading from the first floor to the third floor.
The building was home to 12 families.
Officials report at least two units have been destroyed.
Two victims inside were treated for smoke inhalation.
All of the families are either staying with relatives or are being put up by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
