Wives identify victims in RI plane crash
SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The two men who were killed in a single-engine plane crash in Smithfield have been identified by their wives.
Donna Zoglio told The Associated Press on Tuesday that her husband, Robert, was the pilot of the Piper PA-32 aircraft that crashed Monday evening near the North Central State Airport.
The plane had taken off from T.F. Green Airport in Warwick.
She said her 43-year-old husband, a systems analyst, was a skilled, licensed pilot who loved flying.
Beth Tetreault told The Providence Journal that her husband, Ronald, was the other man on board the plane. A phone message left at the home of a Ronald Tetreault in Glocester was not immediately returned Tuesday.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
