Driver accused of moving body after crash in Leominster
LEOMINSTER, Mass. -- Prosecutors say a Massachusetts man crashed his car into a utility pole while drunk, then dragged the body of a passenger away from the accident scene.
Nathan Fini, 20, of Leominster, was arraigned yesterday on several charges including drunken driving and motor vehicle homicide.
Assistant District Attorney Blake Rubin said a passenger, Kenneth Keogh, 20, was killed in the early-morning crash and that his body was moved "a fairly significant distance" from the scene.
Rubin said Fini initially indicated to police that he had been alone in the car. But he later acknowledged that there had been a passenger, and Keogh's body was discovered a short time later.
Fini's attorney, Timothy Murphy, said his client was devastated by what happened.
Bail was set at $15,000.
