Driver: Sneeze caused him to plunge into Charles River
BOSTON -- A driver drove his truck into the Charles River on Tuesday afternoon.
Andrew Hanson, 42, of Weymouth, was driving his Ford pickup truck on Soldiers Field Road when his vehicle plunged into the Charles River.
"The gentleman said he sneezed, next thing he knew he was in the river," said a witness.
Hanson made it out of the truck without any injuries, but was taken to Beth Israel Hospital as a precaution.
State Police divers spent a lot of time in the water before the rig was pulled out of the river and towed away.
It was unclear if any charges would be filed.
