MBTA movie ad upsets parents

MBTA movie ad upsets parents

BOSTON -- The MBTA is under fire for what some riders are calling inappropriate ads.

The ads promoting the new film, "Zach and Miri Make a Porno," staring Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks, read "Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks made a movie so titillating that we can only show you this drawing."

The poster shows a male and female stick figure with the stars' names above them.

Some are saying the ads target kids with the drawing and believe it could raise children's curiosity about topics such as porn.

"I would like to see this taken down," said Diane Levin, a professor at Wheelock College.

Levin has written a book entitled, "So Sexy So Soon." She said the foul poster should never have been allowed.

Parents are upset because they feel as if they don't have control over what their children see.

The MBTA said the ad meets all guidelines because it doesn't contain any obscenities or sexual images.

MBTA officials said they make a lot of money off these ads, so for now they will stay put.
