MILLBURY, Mass. -- A woman running with her dog discovered an injured elderly man on the ground.
The woman was out on a daily morning run with her female Doberman Pincher, Aubery.
Her dog led her off their usual running trail to an overgrown path where she discovered an elderly man unconscious and bleeding.
The woman said he had a head laceration and a sore on his eye. She went inside to get a towel to stop the bleeding while a neighbor called 911.
The man was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
The woman said she usually does not take her dog out on rainy days, but is thankful that she decided to because she would have never found the injured man who slipped and fell.
