DNA evidence links 3 sexual assaults

BOSTON -- Police are searching for a male suspect after DNA evidence has linked three reports of sexual assault.

DNA findings from the latest incident on August 5 suggests it is connected to two prior reports, according to the Boston Police Department.

On August 5, a female victim reported being in the area of Boylston and Arlington streets when she accepted a ride from an individual, who drove her to Charlestown where she reported she was sexually assaulted. The victim said there was a struggle, at which point he fled.

In November 2007, a female victim was in the area of State Street in the early morning hours, and then reported arriving in Charlestown, where she was sexually assaulted.

In August 2007, a female victim reported being in the area of Stuart Street during early morning hours when she accepted a ride from an individual, whom she believed she recognized. She reported being in Charlestown when she was sexually assaulted.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding both incidents. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact Sexual Assault Unit detectives at (617) 343-4400.
