Movie shoot mistaken for armed robbery

Movie shoot mistaken for armed robbery

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- When North Andover police burst into an Osgood Street gas station with their guns drawn, they thought they were about to take down two armed robbers.

What they discovered was they had made their way into the scenes of a film.

After a concerned citizen called police saying that the convenience store was being held up, five police cruisers responded to the gas station.

When they arrived, there were two men with guns pointing them at the store clerk. Police entered, talked the men to the ground, and ordered them to drop their guns.

The owner of the gas station then came out and informed police that the men were filming a movie.

It was determined the men were actors and the guns were plastic.

The men were released and not arrested.
