Kitten recovering from act of cruelty
BOSTON -- A kitten at the MSPCA in Jamaica Plain is recovering from an act of cruelty by its previous owner.
Officials at the MSPCA say that the eight-week old kitten, named Edison, was placed inside of a microwave.
"When Edison was surrendered to us, we were told that he had been placed in a microwave and cooked," Brian Adams, MSPCA-Angell spokesperson, said.
Police are searching for the person responsible for burning the cat's ears and paws. The kitten's tail will most likely be amputated.
The MSCPA says that even though he has been injured, Edison is still a lively little kitten.
Due to the extent of his injured, the feline is currently not available for adoption.
Authorities ask that anyone who may have information about what happened to contact them. Detectives can be reached at 800-628-5808.
