Police release sketch of North End assaulter

BOSTON -- Police released a sketch of a suspect who grabbed a woman and indecently assaulted her.

The victim was walking along Foster Street in the North End around 3:30 a.m. on July 4 when a man grabber her from behind and assaulted her.

She was able to fight her assailant off, but he ran away before anyone could come to her help.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20's with light colored short hair. Police released a sketch of the suspect.

This recent incident is the fourth sexual assault in the North End this year.

On January 14, two women were assaulted in the area around Copp's Hill Terrace.

In June 11, a woman was walking along Richmond Street, near Fulton Street, when she was attacked from behind and sexually assaulted.

No arrests have been made in connection with any of the assaults.

"It's unfortunate that the woman that walk down the street have to change their behavior. Right? Why is it us who has to be careful? Why is it us who have to dress more conservatively? Why is it us? Why do we have to constantly deal with that," Rebecca Lawrence, concerned resident, said.

Police have not said whether the four incidents are connected.

Authorities urge women to be careful, and to never travel alone.
