LAWRENCE, Mass. -- A mother and her 10-year-old daughter hid in a bedroom and called 911 when a stranger kicked in the door of their home on Thursday.
The woman was upstairs with her daughter, getting ready for school, when they heard three knocks at the door at 8:50 a.m. As they made their way downstairs, they said the man busted through the door.
They hid under the bed and called 911.
Police say that they caught Angelo Luis Deleon, 39, red-handed with the family's personal property; including jewelry, a camera and a computer.
The mother and daughter were not hurt.
Deleon is being held on $100,000 bail.
