High school student hit by car

HARWICH, Mass. -- A 17-year-old student was hit by a car early Friday morning during a water balloon fight, said police.
The incident happened around 5:45 a.m. in front of the Harwich High School on Oak Street.
Police said senior students had a sleepover under a tent set up for Sunday's graduation when a car full of juniors showed up and started a water balloon fight.
One of the drivers tried to leave, but the grass was wet and the car slid, hitting a female senior. She was pushed up onto the car's hood.
The unidentified victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital with non life-threatening injuries to her leg.
Police are still investigating the accident.
