Norton boy, 13, rescued from ditch
NORTON, Mass. -- A boy was pulled to safety after taking a tumble into a swampy ditch on the banks of a reservoir.
Jimmy Camara said he was riding his bike near the Norton Reservoir when he stopped to look in the water and ended up falling in.
Police said the water was cold and that he could not pull himself out.
He held onto part of a pipe, just long enough for two Good Samaritans, a husband and wife, to hear his cries for help.
The nearby neighbors ran to Jimmy's rescue and helped him out of the water.
He had mild hypothermia, but is expected to be okay.
