BOSTON -- Sunbeam Television Corporation, the parent company of WHDH, released a statement on Thursday regarding Randi Goldklank.
Goldklank was arrested following an incident at Logan International Airport. She was arrested on Sunday night and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.
Sunbeam Television Corporation President Ed Ansin released this statement...
"Randi Goldklank is an outstanding broadcast executive with a record of great success. Since 2001 she has worked for Sunbeam Television Corporation in Miami and Boston as a sales executive and as general manager of WHDH/WLVI since July 2007. The unfortunate events of last Sunday night were unanticipated and Ms. Goldklank is deeply regretful. She is currently undergoing medical treatment and is on administrative leave from the company. We wish her a speedy recovery, as do her many friends in Boston and throughout the broadcasting industry.
Mike Carson, who was the previous general manager of WHDH/WLVI, has continued to work as a consultant to the stations. Effective next week, he will temporarily resume his previous responsibilities as general manager."
