Wire problems cause traffic delays for MBTA
BOSTON -- Wire problems were causing traffic delays at North Station. The problem was reported around 10:45 a.m. on Thursday.
MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said a section of overhead wire, which provides electricity to trains, had come down while a train entered the station. All passengers were evacuated.
North station is open to customers seeking Orange Line service. Buses are replacing Green Line service between Government Center and Lechmere stations.
Crews are working to restore a normal schedule.
There were no injuries.
