Canada goose has arrow stuck in its side

ANDOVER, Mass. -- A Canada goose was shot with an arrow, and has been seen walking around Andover with it stuck in its body.

Officials said the goose, which was seen last sitting on a block of ice on the Shawsheen River, was likely hit sometime this week.

Animal experts said the arrow is positioned in a way that does not affect any of its major organs.

That gives the bird a good chance of survival.
