Man injured after jumping from overpass before Patriots game
FOXBORO, Mass. -- Police say a man believed to be from Maine was airlifted to a Boston hospital after leaping from a 20-foot high overpass, thinking he would land in a snowbank.
The 20-year old man, whose name is not available, hit the pavement instead.
WCSH-TV says the accident happened at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., shortly before Sunday's Patriots-Dolphins game. Police say the man was with some friends on the overpass.
He was treated by paramedics after he jumped, and then was flown by helicopter to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, where he was reported in serious condition.
