Attempted abduction, has parents on alert and police on the hunt in Swampscott
SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. -- Police released a sketch of a woman they believe tried to abduct a 12-year-old girl Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 2:30 pm on Walker Road where the little girl was walking. The little girl told police a van pulled up next to her and the driver asked her repeatedly to get in the vehicle. The girl refused and ran to a neighbor's house.
The suspect is described as having a light brown complexion, red curly hair, an accent and was last seen driving a turquoise mini van with bumper stickers on Route 1A north.
