Brazen burglar caught red handed in Burlington
BURLINGTON, Mass. -- Jake Jackson was home from school when he heard someone enter his home Monday morning.
Jackson, 17, was sleeping in his room when he heard the burglar, rifling through his room. The teenager hid underneath his bedcovers and called 911 from his cell phone.
"I look and saw it was a guy and he said something about taking the TV. So, I heard him go back downstairs and that's when I called 911," Jackson said.
Police arrested David Raymond Laurent, 47, at Jackson's home. Police say that the suspect was allegedly loading electronic equipment into his car when they apprehended him.
Authorities say that they allegedly found other items in Laurent's car that link him to another robbery in the area.
Laurent faces several charges including breaking and entering.
