Bank robber demands cash for his sick newborn
HAVERHILL, Mass. -- Police are searching for a bank robber who used sympathy as his weapon.
The incident happened Monday afternoon.
The suspect handed a teller at the Northeast Credit Union a note on "Curious George" stationary. The note read "I have a very sick newborn. Give me all the money in the drawer."
The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money from the bank.
He's described as a man in his mid-20s, weighs approximately 200 pounds and is about 5-feet 6-inches tall.
