No charges filed after student brings taser to school

BRIGHTON, Mass. -- A student at Jackson-Mann School in Brighton brought a stun gun to school last Wednesday.

The student allegedly sold the stun gun to another student for $100.

According to police, the middle school student used the taser. It came in contact with a container full of flammable contents, which started a fire in the school's cafeteria.

No students at the school were injured.

Many parents believe that the student's parents are to blame for the incident.

"I think the parents should be the ones who should be on the kids, watching the kids, knowing what they're bringing to school…" Glenda Ramos, parent, said.

"I'd like to ask the parents where did he get it," Ronda Dorson, parent, said. "For a young child to have something like that."

No charges will be filed against the students, instead leaving any disciplinary action to the discretion of the school.
