CONCORD, N.H. -- Youngsters are getting their chance to try deer hunting this weekend across New Hampshire.
This weekend children under 16 can hunt without a license if they go with a licensed adult hunter. The adult is not allowed to carry a firearm or help other than supervise.
Kent Gustafson of the Fish and Game Department says the weekend is intended to introduce young people to deer hunting while building bonds with their mentors.
