Company merger and computer glitch delays tuxedos

QUINCY, Mass. -- A merger of two tuxedo retailers is causing frustration for couples on their wedding day.

Customers say a tuxedo tie-up, or mix-up at various Mr. Tux and Men's warehouse locations across metro Boston---has caused them a lot of grief this weekend.

Two store managers confirmed the merger and admitted they were looking into some ordering problems.

Because of the glitch whatever it is many customers also claim they got their tuxes late almost too late in some cases.

Many of the grooms and their families say their problems go beyond the wedding. They say this tuxedo trouble has actually cost them money they didn't have in the budget.

According to Susan Curran the technical glitch has caused delays.

"This is the wedding day and the photographer has been at the house for probably three or four hours, so lost time there, quite a few guys had to leave work early yesterday, giving up half a day of work," Curran said.

7 News tried repeatedly to contact people with both companies' corporate offices.

The only comment 7 News could get Saturday was that customers are priority number one and that the problem is being addressed.
