Driver in Saugus crash may face charges
SAUGUS, Mass. -- Police are investigating why a woman lost control of her car and smashed into a house Sunday morning.
According to police, Maria Bouras of Lynn, 30, struck two other cars before her Lexus flipped over and drove into a home on Lincoln Street.
The vehicle landed in a first-floor bedroom, pinning Bouras in the car and a sleeping woman in her bed. The impact also sent a street sign flying into a nearby car.
The woman is in serious condition at Mass. General Hospital. Bouras has been released from the hospital and may face charges.
