Brookline police are on alert after woman is sexually assaulted

BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Police are searching for a suspect after a young woman was attacked while waiting the 'T.'
On Sunday night, a 22-year-old Boston University law student, was attacked by a man claiming to have a gun. The victim was walking along Beacon Street when the suspect asked her for directions. A few minute later, the suspect approached her again.
"And then he comes up to me, and he's like 'hi sexy,'" the victim, who asked to remain anonymous, said. "And he had both hands in his jacket, and he went 'you know what this is?' I was like 'no.' And he was like 'this is a gun. You have to come with me, you have to be quiet or I'm going to shoot you.' Am I'm just sitting there... terrified."
The suspect asked her to go with him and perform a sexual act. When the victim refused, he tore her shirt.
"He grabbed me by my shirt, he pulled me up and I pushed him, like we're just struggling," the victim said. "When he realized that I wasn't going anywhere, people were coming off [the train]. He just reached up, ripped my shirt all the way down and ran the opposite way. And I just screaming, 'cause I could see somebody on the other side of the street."
"I got off the train and saw the victim and the perpetrator, I didn't know what was going on," Georg Wiese, witness, said. "She approached me and said 'he just tore my shirt open.'"
According to Wiese, the man escaped after he arrived. Witnesses called 911 and tried to track the suspect down.
"He was bolting down the street," Sarah Hutchinson, witness, said. "It looked a little ify, but I thought nothing of it until I saw this woman coming over to us."
The suspect is described as Hispanic male between the ages of 18-24. He has an olive complexion and a slight goatee. He is approximately 5'7" and weighs about 150 pounds.
On Monday morning, three women were attacked in East Boston. Despite the similarities of the incidents, Brookline Police and Boston Police have not connected the assaults.
