FALL RIVER, Mass. -- A 9-year-old boy died after a fall at an industrial park in Fall River on Saturday.
Codey Duclos was trapped in a sand hopper while playing at Quality Concrete in Fall River.
During a search of the hopper, construction workers discovered the boy unresponsive.
Emergency crews treated the victim on the scene and rushed him to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence where he was pronounced dead at approximately 3:15am.
According to nearby residents, this is not the first time a child has been hurt while playing on the site. Several years ago, a similar accident took a young boy's life. They say the company needs better security.
A sand hopper feeds a conveyor belt, which takes the sand to another machine that mixes concrete.
