Driver of allegedly stolen truck faces judge
BROCKTON, Mass. -- A truck on a tear landed a Brockton man in court on Tuesday.
The incident began late yesterday afternoon when a state trooper on Route 106 in West Bridgewater noticed the semi-tractor that had been reported stolen in Avon.
State police say the trooper tried to stop the truck but the driver -- later identified as 35-year-old Marc Senatus -- kept going. The trooper then followed the truck at slow speeds before the pursuit finally ended with the deployment of tire deflation devices on Union Street in West Bridgewater.
State police say the suspect had also been involved in an earlier incident involving a West Bridgewater police officer in which the officer fired his gun. No one was hurt.
