Boston city councilor says blaring ice cream truck music a city-wide problem
EAST BOSTON -- When you hear the ice cream truck in your neighborhood, are you the first in line or do you run for cover?
Some neighbors in East Boston are complaining that the music from ice cream trucks is driving them crazy.
Now the Boston City Council is looking to ban the music from the trucks across the city.
Salvatore Lamattina, East Boston City Councilor, says the irritating noise is a city-wide problem.
"It's irritating," he said, speaking out on Thursday.
Lamattina called for a hearing on whether the trucks should go back to bells rather than music.
