Holliston students calling for graduation boycott after senior prank shenanigans

HOLLISTON, Mass. -- Some high school students in Holliston accused in a senior prank scandal could be adding criminal charges to their resume.

At least two honor students allegedly broke into the school, disarmed the alarm system and hacked into the school's computer.

While some of their fellow students are calling for a graduation boycott in protest, Holliston High School graduate said no one is laughing at the prank.

"I do know some of the people involved, and I know they're really smart," said Martin, who matriculated from the school in 2006. "Obviously, they're smart to have the ability to do that. I think if you're that smart, you should know that it's probably not the smartest idea."

The students believed to be involved in the prank did not want to talk to 7NEWS on the record, because police have launched a criminal investigation.

Authorities are still trying to determine if the students caused any damage.

"Hacking into computer system, like that's where you can get into big trouble," said Martin. "I don't recommend doing that."

Martin's classmate, Christen Kyler, said this year was not the first time wild pranks have been pulled off at the school.

"We threw hot dogs in the hallway, which smelled, like, wicked bad," said Kyler. "We threw bouncy balls and stole the golf cart."

Before this prank, the school sent out a letter to parents and students saying that if any seniors participated in a prank, they wouldn't be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies. 7NEWS has learned that the seniors involved in the prank will not be there on Sunday.
