JUST ONE STATION: Suspect rakes in charges after blowout over bag of leaves

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- A driver allegedly attempted to strike a town employee on Saturday after being prohibited from disposing of his yard waste.

Authorities say Daniel Caron, 50, became infuriated when told by Micheal Ryan, 48, that he had an expired permit and needed to purchase a new one if he wanted to dump his bag of leaves at the Dudley Road facility.

The argument between the two, Framingham natives climaxed when Caron allegedly tried to hit Ryan with his car, according to police.

"I don't know if he was trying to run me over, but he almost did," Ryan said.

Though Ryan dodged the maneuver, Caron reportedly continued to be aggressive as he left the dump facility, even throwing rocks as he drove across the street to the town incinerator, where he was later apprehended by police.

Caron is now facing charges of assault with a dangerous weapon. He previously had no criminal record.

The suspect reportedly has a pacemaker and will not be in court until his heart has been evaluated in light of this weekend's incident.
