Women describes near drowning

AUBURN, N.H. -- For an Auburn (New Hampshire) woman, the screwdriver sitting on her kitchen counter is a reminder of how close she came to drowning during Monday's storm.

Colette Deusinger got trapped in her car on a washed out road Monday. As it sank, she pressed her face against the rear window and gasped for breath.

An onlooker yelled for others to bring him a knife. He ended up with screwdriver instead, which he used to tear a hole in the roof of Deusinger's convertible.

Deusinger was treated for mild hypothermia. When she got home from the hospital, she called Fred McNeill to thank him for saving her life.
