Man accused of assaulting 10-year-old after youth hockey game
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- A Hopedale man pleads not guilty to charges he assaulted a ten-year-old boy after a youth hockey league game.
Richard Rosenberger, 47, allegedly kicked and beat the victim as the boy was exiting the Northstar Youth Forum Ice Arena on March 3.
He faces charges of assault and battery on a child and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a shod foot.
The child was not seriously injured in the incident.
Westborough Police Officer Jeff Keaveney said Rosenberger's son was on one of the teams that had played in the game, and that it's possible the father could have been responding to something that happened on the ice.
