Boston teachers set to strike Thursday

BOSTON -- It now appears that Boston public school teachers will likely go on strike this Thursday.

The city says it's illegal for teachers to strike.

This strike comes after 13 months of failed negotiations over teacher compensation.

If the school system and the teacher's union fail to reach an agreement by tomorrow night, officials will initiate a contingency plan to accommodate the 58,000 students with no place to go on Thursday.
