U.S. Senate candidate endorsements
BOSTON -- Former Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis said Representative Mike Capuano is the man who can fill Ted Kennedy's shoes.
This is the first time since leaving the corner office in 1990 that Dukakis has endorsed anyone in a statewide Democratic primary.
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe is endorsing Alan Khazei.
In Sunday’s paper the Globe Editorial Board said Khazei's energy, intelligence and idealism makes him the right person to fill Senator Ted Kennedy's shoes.
Capuano and Khazei join Attorney General Martha Coakley and Celtics co-owner Stephen Pagliuca on the December 8th Democratic primary ballot.
State Senator Scott Brown and Boston businessman and Attorney Jack E. Robinson are on the Republican ballot the same day.
