AUBURN, Mass. -- Local police departments are now working to protect students and shoppers from terrorism.
Metro Boston police departments performed a counter-terrorism exercise on Sunday at the Auburn Mall.
Explosive detection dog teams practiced searching inside school buses and large stores.
The Boston and Auburn police departments will use data from the exercise to help law enforcement agencies throughout the country in dealing with the threat of explosives.
