Amazing survival story for missing Maine teen
TOPSHAM, Maine -- A 17-year old girl has been found alive after a two day search.
17-year old Kourtney Thibeault was found trapped in her car after it had rolled down a ravine in Topsham, Maine.
Police found Thibeault Thursday night. Officers say she rolled down the ravine Tuesday on her way to a class in Auburn.
Thibeault's twin sister says Kourtney lost control of the SUV when she swerved to avoid hitting a deer.
Police say they traced her cell phone to the area, but still couldn't find her. A damaged tree indicated the trail to her car.
Police freed Thibeault from her car and took her to the hospital. She is being treated for a broken pelvis, broken legs, and a broken jaw.
She is expected to make a full recovery.
