Boston doctor struck and killed by car

BOSTON, Mass. -- Tragedy has struck a Boston hospital after a prominent doctor was killed in the street.

Doctor Kenneth Baughman was hit by a car yesterday in Florida. He was there attending the American Heart Association convention.

The hospital released this statement: "We will remember Ken as an avid athlete, who practiced what he preached to all his heart patients. He was thoughtful listener whose soft smile would warm any conversation...offer direction to a visitor or comfort someone in need."

Baughman was a cardiologist at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
