U.S. Senate candidates meet with church leaders
JAMAICA PLAIN -- The four U.S. Senate candidates met with leaders of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization Sunday night to discuss issues facing families in local congregations.
Attorney General Martha Coakley, Representative Michael Capuano, Alan Khazei, and Steve Pagliuca attended the event at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Jamaica Plain.
This event was not a typical forum, however. At one point, the four candidates were asked to simply answer “yes” or “no” to certain questions.
The two candidates on the Republican side for the vacant Senate seat are attorney Jack E. Robinson and State Senator Scott Brown.
