Firefighters battle Saugus brush fire

SAUGUS, Mass. -- Fire crews worked to extinugish a brush fire in Saugus Monday afternoon.

The fire broke out near Summer and Appleton streets in the area of Prankers Pond just after 4 p.m.

There are homes nearby, but they were not damaged in the fire.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze.
