Man dies after being stabbed in Allston

BOSTON -- A 24-year-old man was stabbed and killed in the area of Brighton and Harvard Avenue in Allston early Sunday.

The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. in front of a convenience store and a crowd soon gathered around the body.

The man was pronounced dead at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center but has not yet been identified.

Police have arrested 23-year old Corey Patterson in connection with the murder and he is charged with accessory to murder and several counts of assault.

The incident was Boston’s 43rd homicide of the calendar year. At this time last year, Boston had experienced 53 homicides.
