Sgt. Crowley, Prof. Gates meet at Cambridge restaurant

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates and Cambridge police Sergeant James Crowley were spotted at a restaurant in Cambridge, according to the Boston Globe.

Gates and Crowley were seen in a deep conversation at the River Gods restaurant.

The two men had agreed to continue talking after their altercation this past summer, which led to them airing their differences over a beer with President Obama at the White House.

Sgt. Crowley arrested Gates for disorderly conduct when Crowley responded to a call about a possible break-in at Gates' home. Those charges were eventually dropped.
