2 Boston cops injured in Mattapan collision
BOSTON -- Two Boston police officers were injured early Saturday morning when their cruiser collided with another car in Mattapan.
The crash occurred at around 2:30 A.M. near the intersection of Cummings Highway and River Street.
While the front of the cruiser was heavily damaged, the driver of the other car involved was not hurt.
In Waltham, a separate accident occurred at around midnight when a car smashed into a tree on Wadsworth Street.
The driver, whose condition is not yet known, needed to be extracted from the vehicle.
According to witnesses, alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
