"American Idol" fever hits Hub
BOSTON -- Some "Idol" chatter was in the air on Friday at Government Center as Victoria Beckham joined Ryan Seacrest, Simon Cowell, Kara DioGuardi, and Randy Jackson to screen a collection of local contestants who had made it past the first round of auditions in June at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro.
Beckham, known for her performing role as Posh Spice, recently joined the "American Idol" team as a guest replacement for departed judge Paula Abdul.
Auditions will continue today at 60 State Street and are being filmed for the talent show's January broadcast.
