Man's lost wallet returned with $200 in it
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. -- A Winchester man lost his wallet earlier this week at a New Bedford Quiznos.
Bob Galante's wallet had $200 inside. He assumed that his wallet and cash was gone forever until he received a phone call from James Mulvey.
On Tuesday, Mulvey found the wallet underneath his car in the sub shop's parking lot.
Inside was a license, credit cards and $200 cash.
Mulvey tracked down Galante using 411 so he could return his wallet and the two decided to meet back at Quiznos.
During the meeting, Galante could not believe that the money was still there, so he gave half of it to Mulvey and treated him to lunch.
"He said he was going to do something for me, but this is overwhelming," said Mulvey, who found the wallet.
Galante admitted that it was not his first time losing his wallet, but hopes it is his last.
