Man hit by car while putting baby in car seat
BOSTON -- A man was struck by a passing vehicle while witnesses said he was putting a child in a car seat.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was hit at Cambridge Street and Gordon Street just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.
The man was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with serious head trauma.
Police said that the driver, Cathy Bergin-August, 47, of Watertown, kept driving, but Good Samaritans were able to stop her down the road.
Bergin-August was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury.
Police are investigating.
