State trooper hurt in crash at work site
WEST BOYLSTON, Mass. -- A state trooper was seriously hurt after a woman allegedly plowed into a police cruiser at a construction site in West Boylston, and the cruiser struck him.
State police say both the driver and the trooper, whom police have not identified, were taken by ambulance Tuesday to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
State police say 46-year-old Sandra Konkle of West Boylston was on Route 190 when she drove into the work zone on the left side of the road and hit the parked cruiser at about 2:10 p.m.
The crash remained under investigation.
