Florida man charged in Walpole crash

WALPOLE, Mass. -- In the wake of a busy holiday weekend that witnessed an unprecedented number of deadly crashes, authorities are now working to pick up the pieces.

In Walpole, police say 31-year-old Florida driver Jason Wayne Spurlin (pictured, right) was drunk when he lost control of his car and crashed, killing all three passengers. The three have been identified as 20-year-olds Nicholas Kelly and Anna Dubois, both of Walpole, and 23-year-old Amanda Murray (pictured, left), of Medfield.

Spurlin, whose injuries were non-life threatening, is being charged with three counts of motor vehicle homicide by OUI and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in Wrentham District Court.

In other parts of the Bay State, three were killed in an Attleboro accident, one was killed in a 4-car wreck in Quincy, and another was killed when his car crashed in Sudbury.
